How Advanced Warfare Can Save The Call of Duty Series

I was not a huge fan of Ghosts. I really liked Black Ops 2, but it still wasn’t great. The more I see of Advanced Warfare, the more I’m interested. Call of Duty AW is shaping up to be the best COD yet. The Exo-suit looks really cool, and will add more to the gameplay. The weapons look awesome and unique. We still haven’t seen the multiplayer, but it’s reveal is coming at Gamescom. The story actually looks interesting this time around, and Kevin Spacey. Here’s what AW needs/should do to be the best COD:

Zombies

One of the things I love about the Black Ops games is zombies. If Advanced Warfare included some sort of zombie mode, that would be amazing, and an instant buy for me. The picture above is an image from the free-to-play COD in China, COD Online, and it includes cyborg zombies, which would be awesome in AW. And if they did add some kind of zombie mode, I hope they don’t mess it up like IW did with extinction. Please Sledgehammer?

Lots of Futuristic Tech/Weapons

So far, it looks like Sledgehammer is doing a great job with this one. In all of the trailers they show off the Exo Suits, Drones, and new weapons. In a trailer featuring the pre-order bonuses, Sledgehammer revealed a new class that features weapons with batteries that essentially gives you unlimited ammo. It looks really cool and futuristic, and that’s the direction I think they should take with the weapons.

Full of Content

Please Sledgehammer, don’t take content out of the game and sell it as DLC!!! I already know there is a season pass and DLC, but please don’t take content from the launch game and sell it as DLC! The launch game should be full of maps, lots of different game modes, and many weapons. Please don’t rip us off! Please?

Now what I think Sledgehammer shouldn’t do with Advanced Warfare:

Perks

Ok, hear me out on this one. With Exo suits and all of the other futuristic stuff, I think perks could be too OP. I think perks like Marathon, Reflex, and Reload While Sprinting should be already given to you. Then they could do wildcards like BLOPS 2 and put in things like extra attachments, primary gun as a secondary weapon, and extra tactical/lethal equipment.

Gimmicks

To be clear, there will still be lots of gimmicks, but please don’t focus on them too much. IW made it sound like they put all of their time and effort into Riley, and he was just a gimmick. He didn’t add anything to the gameplay.
